Flatout Pizza Pizza!

pissaFlatout Pizza is a great lunch entrée for you or your kids, because it is extrememly satisfying.  Sometimes, we assume that the more fulfilling a meal is, the more unhealthy it is.  Check out these easy-to-make Flatout Pizzas below, and you’ll be surprised just how wrong that assumption is! I persoanlly prefer to eat my pizza cold, because I love leftover pizza, but if you would rather eat your pizza warm, re-heat at the office for a minute or two.

Let’s be Flatout SMART Tip: If you want to make these recipes below even more healthier, feel free to substitute the cheeses listed with fat-free, low-fat, or reduced fat cheeses. You can find a reduced fat version of most cheeses at your local grocery store.

Flatout Farm Fresh Perfecto Thin Crust Pizza

All you need:

1 Flatout Artisan Foldit Flatbread

1 ½ tsp balsalmic vinaigrette dressing

1 cup fresh baby spinach

½ cup shredded Fontina cheese

6 grape tomatoes, sliced in half

All you need to do:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Farenheit.  Place lightly oiled Flatout Foldit on top of oven grate; cook 4 minutes and remove.  In a bowl, toss dressing, spinach and tomatoes.  Place mixture on top of entire Flatout.  Sprinkle Fontina over top.  Return to oven and cook 4 more minutes. Remove.

Flatout Arugula Mushroom Thin Crust Pizza

All you need:

4 Flatout Flatbreads

2 ½ cups of fresh, sliced and stemmed mushrooms- shitake, button or portabella

1 medium onion, sliced

1 pint grape tomatoes

1/3 cup olive oil

2  Tbs balsamic vinegar

Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste

2 cups baby arugula

½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

All You need to do:

Cook lightly oiled Flatout in 350 degrees Farenheit oven directly on grate for 7 minutes. Remove.  Top with Arugula, sauteed vegetablesand Parmesan cheese.  Remove, cut into slices and enjoy!

Flatout Tomato-Basil Thin Crust Pizza

All you need:

1 Flatout Flatbread

1 tomato sliced

1 Tbs chopped basil

2 Tbs balsamic vinaigrette

¼ tsp garlic salt

6 oz part- skim mozarella, sliced thin

All you need to do:

Cook lightly oiled Flatout in 350 degrees Farenheit oven directly on grate for 7 minutes.  Remove.  Top with marinate and return to oven and cook 7 more minutes.  Remove, cut into sliced and Enjoy!

Flatout Tex-Mex Thin Crust Pizza

All you need:

3 Flatout Flatbreads

Olive oil cooking spray

1 lb ground beef

1 package (1.25 oz) taco seasoning

½ cup water

1 cup salsa

1 package (8 oz) shredded lettuce

1 cup diced tomatoes

2 Tbs salsa

2 Tbs sour cream

All you need to do:

Cook lightly oiled Flatout in 350 degrees Farenheit on grate for 7 minutes.  Remove.  Top per instructions above.  Return to oven and cook 7 more minutes.  Remove and cut into wedges.  Top with lettuce, a dollop of sour cream and tomatoes.
