Thanksgiving Desserts- Flatout SWEET

Filed under: Thanksgiving — flatoutnews @ 3:50 pm

The Flatout Apple Streusel Pizza is a tasty autumn dessert.  When entertaining- especially on Thanksgiving- it is a fabulous dessert option, because it is easy to prepare and it does not take long to bake.  I’m having 12 people over for my Thanksgiving dinner, so I intend on making six Apple Streusel Pizzas.  Unlike other desserts, you don’t even have to prepare the night or two before.  After dinner, I plan to pop the pizzas in the oven, and serve seven minutes later.  Buy a carton of vanilla ice cream to accompany the dish, and give yourself – and your guests- something to really be thankful for!

All you need:

1 Flatout Flatbread

Pam Cooking Spray

8 oz can of apple pie filling (Feel free to make your own apple pie filling with fresh apples)

1 Tbs streusel icing

2 Tbs of low fat granola

All you need to do:

Preheat outdoor grill.  Lightly oil both sides of Flatout.  Top Flatout with pie filling and sprinkle with granola.  Cook Flatout on closed grill for six minutes.  Drizzle Streusel icing over pizza.  Cut Flatout into six squares.  If you want to make this a la mode, or share with a larger group, cut into 16 wedges.

If it’s too cold out there: (which it is for me, around this time of year)

Cook lightly oiled Flatout in 350 degree Fahrenheit oven directly on grate for 7 minutes.  Remove.  Top Flatout with pie filling and sprinkle with granola and cook 7 more minutes.  Drizzle with icing.  Enjoy!
