This Season’s Sides

Filed under: Sides — flatoutnews @ 3:26 am

I have never been the type of person who could eat an entrée without a side.  That’s just not me.  It doesn’t make a difference if I am eating breakfast or dinner; I won’t be completely satisfied unless I have something to accompany my entrée.

I am crazy over this season’s fruits and vegetables.  Fruit salad accompanies a breakfast and lunch entrée terrifically.  Take advantage of this season’s fruits by mixing together chopped up apples, pears and plums mixed in with blackberries, grapes and raspberries.

At lunchtime, I absolutely love this season’s carrots, celery and cucumbers chopped, and I dip them in ranch dressing or hummus.

At dinnertime, take advantage of this season’s vegetables by mixing together grilled and chopped broccoli, cauliflower, carrots and potatoes.  I also love a baked sweet potato at dinner.  It is filling and delicious!
