Flatout Appetizers!

Filed under: Appetizers, Flatout Holiday — flatoutnews @ 4:05 am

If your family and friends are anything like mine, they come over ready for appetizers! That’s why, when I entertain, I make sure to have fun and delicious appetizers ready.  At my house: appetizers are just as important and fun as the main course! Check out these quick and fun appetizers below.

Flatout Wrapped Brie

All you need:

1 Harvest Wheat Flatout Flatbread

¼ pound Brie wedge

1 tablespoon honey

2 Granny or Red Delicious Apples (optional)

¼ cup fruit (your own choice)

All you need to do:

Preheat the oven for three minutes.  Lay Brie wedge on one rounded end of Flatout Flatbread.  Cover Brie with honey.  Wrap the Flatout around the brie, tucking in the excess Flatout.  Cook for four minutes.  Garnish with sliced apples.

Fresh Tomato Basil Brushetta Pizza… a personal favorite!

All you need:

1 Light Original Flatout Flatbread

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

2 Roma tomatoes thinly sliced, halved

2 tablespoons thinly sliced fresh basil

2 tablespoons balsamic vinaigrette dressing

All you need to do:

Heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.    Lay Flatout Flatbread on nonstick cooke sheet; bake for seven minutes.  Top partially baked Flatout with Mozzarella, tomato and basil.  Drizzle two tablespoons balsamic vinaigrette dressing on top.  Bake 15 additional minutes or until Mozzarella melts.  Cut Flatout Flatbread into six squares or sixteen wedges for appetizers.
